Throughout his career, Brian has worked closely with dairy operators, agricultural partners, and government programs, helping bridge the gap between funding opportunities and real-world execution. Brent Jex is an accomplished operations executive and decorated law enforcement veteran with over 25 years of experience in federal investigations, organizational leadership, and high-level operational strategy. His background combines public sector leadership with private sector execution, giving him a unique ability to manage complex systems and deliver results in high-stakes environments.
Brent has led day-to-day operations and strategic planning as a Vice President within a growing technology firm, while also operating a consulting business focused on complex case reviews and specialized security services. His experience includes active roles in narcotics, gang enforcement, and U.S. Marshal task force operations, where precision, structure, and accountability are critical.
In addition, he served as State President and Executive Director of the Utah Fraternal Order of Police for 14 years, managing a $1.9M annual budget and leading statewide initiatives. He has designed and instructed advanced training programs in active response, high-risk operations, and crisis management, and holds certifications including Cornell Crisis Communication and Force Science Analysis.
